Kosovo is a small country that is quite dangerous. I have been there, three years ago… accidentally. Accidentally because my dad had changed the navigation system options from “fastest route” to “shortest route”. So, we were in Serbia and before we knew, we entered Kosovo. I was looking at my dad like: “how in the world did we get here” and he had the same, but we just went as the navigation was still showing the destination and it looked all good.
When got into Kosovo, we saw small cities, road works, cars without license plates and traffic signs with bullets in it. It was quite scary, especially with three women in the back. I did everything to get out of that country as soon as possible, but that’s quite hard when there is no real highway. The fastest you can go on that route is 50 kilometres per hour, which is just sad. So what happened? I went to fast and was stopped by the police with his laser gun. I paid 20 Euros and drove away, until I saw the border. That border was Serbia’s border, again. When you look at the map, you can see that Kosova is situated in Serbia, so we just entered Serbia for the second time that day. It was crazy, mind blowing, but also a nice adventure that I wouldn’t try to repeat again, especially not with my own kids and wifey on board.
