What is the first thing that pops up in your mind when you think about Canada? High standards, luxury cities, no poor people, right?
Well, I can state that that isn’t the case. I was thinking the exact same thing before I went to Canada, but it isn’t like that. I have seen Toronto and Niagara Falls and I have to admit that I still liked the places I’ve seen, but it wasn’t what I expected from it. The standard was way too low, especially in some Toronto neighbourhoods. It isn’t luxury either and it’s swarming with poor people. I sure hope this isn’t what they call “The Canadian Dream”, because it more looked like a nightmare.
I have to admit though: there were some places that were wonderful, especially some parts of tacky Niagara Falls or the financial district in Toronto. Even though this was the case, my image of Canada has changed entirely and I wouldn’t mind at all if I wouldn’t visit this country anymore.
